Getzigo was conceived at 11:44 a.m. pst, August 25, 2016 - exactly at the intersection of and Hope st., in Mountain View California. While Astor Birri was on his way to the post office in downtown Mountain View, he passed a Google driverless car ( the Koala bear one).

He immediately started to conceive of the name getngo for a on-demand car service, but upon searching from his car, he found the name was taken. After speaking out loud a couple of variations of the name, Getzigo rang true.

At 12:17 p.m. pst, that same day, he registered the domain name "getzigo.com.

Getzigo, LLC is a subsidiary of Tranet'te, Inc., a Birri Holdings.
